November Glossybox and Review

Today I got my first ever Glossybox, YAYY!
If you haven't heard of Glossybox you can find the website here, but it is basically a subscription service where you pay £10 for the box (plus p&p) a month for a box filled with 5 products that are popular or interesting at that moment in time.
I was looking at signing up for a while but never really got around to it...from what I had been reading in blog posts and watching on YouTube it seemed people were generally pleased with the box and it seemed to be the best of the style boxes out there.
I got my November box today and I was really pleased and surprised with how good it was! The sizes of the products were really decent, they weren't all just tiny little testers that you can pick up for free from a store. Overall I just love the idea, the attention to detail with the packaging and how fun it is to get a surprise box of products each month. Its kind of something to look forward to and if you are really interested in trying new products you wouldn't have necessarily heard of or wanted to pay full price without testing first, its a great way to do it!
Another great thing about Glossybox is that on the little card that it comes with explaining all about the products, there are offer/vouchers such as codes to get 20% off your purchase with that specific brand or product. Personally I just love the whole idea!
Let me know if anyone has tried this box or other similar box brands and how you like/don't like them, I would love to know peoples experiences and any other boxes that are out there.

So here are some pictures of my November Glossybox! (I apologise for the awful photos but the lighting wasn't very good and I was in a rush to get to work)

I scribbled over my address and personal info as to be fair don't really want to put that all out on the internet for the world to see :') Love the pretty outer packaging!

Cute baby pink box that it all comes in. I can definitely see myself using this for storing things in my room as its so cute.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This is so cool, its like a powder that turns into a creamy paste when you put on wet skin. I've got to say I'm not crazy on the scent but the product is really gentle and does make your skin nice and smooth! :D The full size of this costs £38.50 for 75g, the one in the box is 13g.

Excuse my awful nails my varnish was chipping off so I started to pick at it D:
WEI instant lifting face treatment pad. I haven't actually tried this out yet but it seems like a pretty cool product. I think its kind of like a deep treatment face mask to hydrate and freshen your skin. In the box you get one pad but the original product is a 6 pack costing £55, so this one pad in the box costs just over £9 (nearly paying for the whole box itself!!!). To me that seems like a lot of money for what it is but I guess I can't really tell until I have actually used it. You never know it could make my skin look amazing after using it (highly doubt it my skin is awful!)

Alison Claire Mango Body Butter. This stuff smells A-mazing!! It is made with organic mango and cocoa butters and I have got to say it leaves your skin feeling so smooth and smelling just wow! I love this soooo much . The size of this product in the box is 50ml and the full size product is 200ml costing £15. I would definitely pay that amount for this product just because of how effective and all round awesome this product is.

Dr.Jart+  BB beauty balm. This is kind of like a tinted moisturiser and is described to give a natural  bright application that prevents streaking when you sweat. I don't tend to have a problem with my foundation streaking due to sweat but I have heard people talking a lot about bb recently. It is a good tan colour that seems to even out to your skin tone when applied as it is quite thin and is super moisturising. I don't tend to like wearing thick foundation on my face and this product is perfect for helping me to hide blemishes on my skin. The full size product is 50ml and costs £18, the tester in the box is 15ml.

The last product in the box was a cute mini version of Nails Inc Kensington caviar line that has won the Sunday times style beauty award! I got the colour Notting Hill Gate and its a really vibrant hot pink colour (the awful lighting in the photo really doesn't show this) I love the consistency of this nail polish, its got really good pigmentation and you only really need two coats and you are good to go. The full version at 10ml is £11-£12 and the sampler in my box is 4ml. Although I loved this polish I don't know if I could justify spending over £10 on a nail polish? Not regularly at least...

Overall I have been really pleased with my first Glossybox and can't wait for my next one!

Adela Heeled Chelsea Boots!

I have been looking for some heeled chelsea boots for so long now that I had kind of given up all hope of finding any. I would always find a really nice pair and then find that the price would be crazy riduculous and I couldn't really justify spending that much money when I go through pairs of shoes so quickly! As I used to dance (ballet) my feet are really arched and I tend to walk on the outsides of my feet, meaning the sides of my shoes, side of the soles of my shoes and heels rub down really easily. It's kind of annoying but I guess it means I wont ever have problems with having flat feet? :D

That aside I was browsing on Google for Christmas present ideas when I noticed the Stylist Pick website. I went and had a little browse and saw some amazingly decent priced and looking heeled Chelsea boots! The boots I got are the Adela black heeled Chelsea boots. They are £35 at full price which I think is a great price as the cheapest ones I have found everywhere else are £60 (ones that are good quality and look nice)
Another awesome thing about this was that I managed to get 25% off because it was my first purchase from the company! I don't know if they are still doing this 25% off your first order with them but if you are interested I would seriously consider having a look to see if they do.
The delivery time was quick and I got my shoes within 3 days of ordering them, yet what I loved even more was how carefully packaged and presented they were. I always love it when a company has good presentation as it shows they actually care about the customer rather than just the money.

Over all I am so happy with these boots! They are extremely comfortable to wear and I have found they are so easy to wear with, well, basically everything. I have worn them into town dressed up and they also look great with any casual outfit.
I am in LOVE with these boots, and I think Stylist Pick is now in my top favourite online stores!
Here's the link it you are interested :)

I thought this was so cute and love how much detail has gone into the presentation!

I love this! It's a little sticker of my purchase. How adorable is that, and so personal!

Yay boots!

This is just kind of a random babble post really. I am in one of those moods where I just need to get some things off my chest and chat to a screen, sad but it kind of helps.

So recently I sent off my application for University and to my surprise have already got 2 offers out of the 5 I have applied for! I was beyond amazed and grateful at the fact that somewhere actually wants me, you know? It's kind of overwhelming to think that everything is pinned on that one application as to whether they give you a place or not.
Well that got me thinking...(dangerous I know!)
What do people do that don't have any direction or goal in life? Not everyone needs to go to university or college to be successful but I have always wondered why those people who never do anything never want more for themselves?
That might sound kind of confusing but I can't imagine not having a passion or goal for something in my life.
Some people have a goal of being famous, some a goal of a certain profession and some even the goal of being the  mother or father they have always wanted to be.
I always think it is sad when there are people wasting their life away doing nothing that makes them happy, just being moderately ok with their life or if they aren't happy with their life, doing nothing about it. Those people could have the potential to be the doctor that saves your family members life, or the person to get a step closer in finding the cure to cancer, maybe to even just be wonderful at the job they have, whatever it may be. Yet they aren't using the tools that are available in life to get there. Life only happens once and I intend to make the most of the one I have been given.
I saw something recently that made me think about this and it was that a life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable  but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. I think this is one of the most truthful expressions I have ever heard. If I don't ultimately get the exact dream for my life I envisioned  at least I tried, at least I lived and didn't spend my time sitting around asking why I don't have what he or she has. I will have been given only what I deserve and have worked for, it is up to me not anyone else to make it happen.
I don't know why I felt the need to write about all of this but it reminds me of why I am doing what I am doing, and that all this hard work now I will appreciate later in my life.

"If you want to be successful  it's just this simple. Know what you are doing. Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing." Will Rodgers.

With a swift and more uplifting change of subject, anyone who is reading this should check out one of my best friends Katie's new blog that she has just set up! She is new to the blogging world and I can assure you that her posts are going to be well worth reading.
I know not that many people may read my blog but if you happen to be, stop by hers and give her some  blogging love!!
You can find her here at Katie Bee's life and make up blog

Again something kinda random but I love this song and the fact that it is on an Ikea advert makes me happy.
It's an all over the place kind of blog today so I do apologise!

Favourite Fall/Winter Style Trends.

 Hiya! :)
So I thought I would do a post on some of the clothing trend I am loving at the moment for this fall/winter. I can feel my Christmas wish list expanding by the minute!!

I really need to get someone to take some pictures of me in my own fall/winter clothes for some OOTD posts but so far I can't really see my little brother producing any decent photos with his lack of co-ordination :')

So I'm kind of obsessed with big jumpers at the moment, but I guess who isn't at this time of the year?
I love throwing one on over some leggings or black jeans and I feel like I don't have to make a massive effort yet I look acceptably dressed for college!

I think a shirt under a jumper is so cute. Kind of geeky chi

Loving the Christmas print jumpers!

Knit style tops. I am also loving at the moment.

Loving Ombre at the moment also! I love the Ombre in the tights above as I think its a funky take on the design.
Can't go wrong with a pair of deep red jeans! I actually have this hat but in grey, it is oh so warm!

I love love love loveee peplum tops at the moment!

There's always time for a bit of leopard print and a denim jacket.

I love emblelished dresses around Christmas time

I think this is so pretty!

This is kind of a random thrown in but how cool is this dress?!?! aheheh Finding Nemo!
Woolly tights and heels...So adorable!

I am obsessed with Chelsea boots!

I've just ordered a similar pair of Chelsea boots to these but they have a bigger heal and the elastic bit is a brown colour :) I might do a post about them when they arrive!

Yay to Loafers!

I need a pair or Sperrys... pretty please Santa? :D
Hair, the bigger the better!!

Love the deep oxblood red forthis time of the year!

Need to find myself a pair of sparkly tights pronto for Christmas!! So cool!

So that was the trends and clothing that I am loving this season! I don't know about anyone else but I think that this time of the year is my favourite clothing wise.
I would love to see anyone else's blog post on what trend they are loving this season so if you have done something similar feel free to post a link in the comments and I will go check it out!! :)

(Disclaimer: None of these photos were taken by me. They are all images I have re-pinned on Pinterest so I do not own any rights to them.)

A series of photo dumping posts!

I recently found a load of photos I had taken throughout the summer and some from the past few months. I also got a few disposable cameras developed so I had the idea of just dumping them all on here in the form of a few photo posts.
I apologise for the massive surge of photos but I just have to post them as they remind me of what a great summer I had and of how much I treasure my friends.
I am going to try and document more stuff like this as it's not long now until we are all going to be going off to uni and I want to make the most of the time I get to spend with my wonderful group of bezzies, as being so far away from them is going to be difficult.
So the first photo dump post is photos from when we went on a cute little bike ride and picnic to a place near me called Beeston Marina. It's kind of just fields with a river that runs through the middle and if you walk down to the river side you can find these little beach type openings. Its a really cute place!
We also happened to find a massive corn field so couldn't resist venturing through it!

The cute river side beach.

Some of the girlies (Sian and Stoney couldn't come on our bike ride :( )

I think Boz's turtle back pack is just too awesome!!

Takin' a dip

The massive corn field!
Katie's awesome shaun the sheep back pack. I swear my friends how the coolest bags going ;)

I treasure the beautiful summer days out with the most wonderful people in my life. I am truly blessed and thankful for what I have right now <3

(p.s some of the photos were from a disposable camera hence the blurriness in some of them and the difference in quality of the photos. The better quality ones were taken on my friend Alice's camera, some taken by her, some taken by me and some taken by my other friend Lauren!)
